Rivers United technical adviser Finidi George has turned his attention to the decisive final fixture of the season as his side continue their push for the Nigerian Premier Football League title.

Finidi George spoke after Rivers United secured a 2-0 victory over non league side G12 FC in the Round of 64 clash held in Benin City on Tuesday.
Rivers United title race: Finidi George shifts focus now shifts firmly to Sunday’s league encounter against Katsina United in Port Harcourt, a match that could prove decisive in the club’s championship ambitions.
The former Super Eagles winger praised his players for their performance in the cup fixture but stressed that his attention is now fully on the league run in.
“I’m quite happy with the performance of my players against academy side G12,” Finidi told the club’s media.
“The game is gone and my focus is on the league match against Katsina United.”
Rivers United must secure victory against Katsina United and hope that Rangers drop points against Ikorodu City in Lagos to stand any chance of lifting the league title.
The Pride of Rivers currently trail Rangers by a single point, setting up a tense and dramatic conclusion to the season.
