Rotary districts across West Africa are planning two project clinics, comprising a virtual session on Thursday, October 8, and a physical session on Friday, October 9, 2026, to help project organisers strengthen their proposals ahead of the West Africa Project Fair (WAPF) 2026.
The physical Rotary Project Clinic is scheduled to hold at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, October 9, at Bank PHB Hall, Rotary Centre, 8 Ladoke Akintola Street, Ikeja GRA, Lagos.

The two sessions are designed to provide guidance for participants seeking to refine project ideas, develop stronger proposals and improve the potential impact of community development initiatives ahead of the project fair.
The committee’s decision to organise both virtual and physical clinics provides two opportunities for project organisers to receive guidance and improve their submissions before WAPF 2026.
The physical clinic will be hosted by Past District Governor (PDG) Omotunde Lawson, chair of the WAPF 2026 Host Organising Committee, and PDG Femi Adenekan, the committee’s co-chair.
The facilitators are PDG Deinde Shoga, PDG Kola Shodipo and Assistant Governor (AG) Akinwale Odutola.
Their participation is expected to support discussions on project planning, proposal development and the practical steps involved in turning ideas into effective community interventions.
The clinic will focus on helping participants identify areas for improvement in their proposals, strengthen their project plans and communicate their intended outcomes more clearly.
The West Africa Project Fair provides a platform for Rotary-related projects to receive visibility and support. The project clinics are intended to help participants prepare proposals that clearly demonstrate their objectives, implementation plans and expected benefits to the communities they serve.
Beyond presentation, effective project development requires careful planning, collaboration and a clear understanding of community needs.
The clinics are therefore expected to encourage participants to develop initiatives that are practical, sustainable and capable of delivering measurable results.
By combining a virtual session with an in-person gathering, the organising committee is creating opportunities for project organisers to seek guidance and refine their ideas ahead of the fair.
The physical clinic will take place on October 9 in Lagos, following the virtual session scheduled for October 8.
