*Introduction*
Freelanews is a WhatsApp platform established to complement the official website, Freelanews.com.ng, which is already gaining a reputation of authentic news reportage. It is also a group where due to the congregation of notable media practitioners, you get to read first-hand information and discuss happenings in the news, round the clock.

*Objective*
The main aim is to allow people discuss issues, and also to afford the government the opportunity of getting feedback from the people.

It’s a group where you get to interact with political leaders, stakeholders, traditional rulers, technocrats, and professionals who are active players in the Nigerian political space.

*Rules of Engagement*
Members are advised to adhere strictly to this rules which is meant to protect EVERY member of the group irrespective of their status.

1. According to the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention etc) Law 2015, the admins strongly advise against sharing of unconfirmed reports, news, or any other publication.

2. Use of foul languages or curse words are not allowed.

3. Spamming (adverts, campaigns, random forwarded messages) of the loop is not allowed.

4. The admins strongly advise against *Hate Speeches*.

5. Members are expected to conduct themselves as civil as possible.

6. This is an interactive forum, therefore, members are expected to interact freely without bias, rude, and with sincerity and objectivity.

7. Inactive members may be removed at any time without warning.

8. Any member who violates any of the Rules of Engagement may be suspended or permanently banned by the admins.

9. The admins of this loop will not be liable for any financial transactions made outside this loop by any member.
