Sarki Sultan remanded over cyber offences after a Kaduna Magistrate Court ordered his detention at the Kaduna Correctional Centre.

The influencer, real name Abubakar Muhammad, was presented before court by the DSS on charges of extortion and criminal intimidation.
The court heard that Muhammad created multiple fake social media accounts to threaten and extort a complainant.
He allegedly demanded payments via cryptocurrency and POS channels, even attempting to lure the complainant to a suspicious location.
During arraignment, the prosecution said they had digital evidence—account recoveries, payment trails, and recorded conversations—linking Muhammad to the offences.
Notably, Muhammad had already made a viral video confession shortly after his arrest.
The Magistrate ordered that Muhammad be remanded in custody pending the continuation of trial. The matter has been adjourned to a later date.
