The Nigerian Senate has asked the Federal Government to rename the Ibadan Airport after the late former governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
This was after a motion was filed by Senator Abdulfatahi Buhari and it was additionally seconded by Senator Ibikunle Amosun.
A minute silence was in honor of the late Ajimobi.
Senator Ajimobi died some days ago as a result of complications from Coronavirus. He was buried at his residence in Ibadan.
