Rape is one of the recent challenges of the growing nation, Nigeria rape rate case as at 2013 was 0.5 cases per 100,000 population in which has drastically increased.

The most affected victims are the young and youthful ladies even though who through ignorance and fear are subdued to pain and ridiculed.

Such was the case of a 19-year-old whose father have being arrested due to the revelation that he raped her several times and got her impregnated.

A 19-year old daughter has told the Police how her biological father, Olaoluwa Jimoh, raped several times and got her impregnated in the process.

Report acquired by Freelanews revealed that the victim narrated her experience to the Police. According to her, her father separated from her mother and she started living with him two years ago. Not long after, he started sleeping with her and warned her not tell anybody about it.

However, things turned bad when she discovered that she was pregnant which promoted her action.

The 45-year old father, Jimoh, has been arrested following a complaint by the victim that her father was fond of defiling her and later got her pregnant.

This was confirmed by Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi.

Oyeyemi stated that the suspect was arrested following a complaint lodged at Ode-Remo Divisional Headquarters by the victim.

“She reported that she has been living with her father for the past two years, but sometime in June 2021, her father forcefully had sex with her. She further stated that since then, she had been raped several times by her father, who always threatened to kill her if she dared inform anybody.”

“The 19-year old victim informed the Police that her mother had separated from her father a long time ago and that she had been living with her mother until about two years ago when the suspect asked her to come and stay with him.”

”She decided to report, not minding her father’s threat, when she discovered that she was pregnant. Upon the report, the DPO, Ode Remo Division, CSP Fasogbon Olayemi, quickly detailed his detectives to go after the suspect and he was promptly arrested. On interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime but claimed that he was used by the devil.”

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun, has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation.
