Soludo, who currently serves as the state’s governor, was returned unopposed in the party’s primary held on Saturday in Awka, the state capital. He secured over 300 delegate votes to reaffirm his position as the party’s candidate.

The event, which took place amid tight security and a crowd of party loyalists, solidified APGA’s confidence in Soludo’s leadership and governance record.

His unchallenged emergence underscores the unity within the party and its determination to retain control of Anambra State.

A former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Soludo was first elected governor in 2021. Since then, he has championed reforms in infrastructure, education, and digital governance, positioning Anambra as a model state in the South-East region.

Party officials at the primary praised Soludo’s developmental strides and expressed optimism that he would lead APGA to victory once again in November.
