Godfrey Chipare, a 15-year old boy, has taken his own life after a brief disagreement with mother.
According to reports, the child committed suicide after his mother discovered him having sex with a 14-year-old girl in their home.
Chipare’s mother is said to have battled with her son about the deed, so the adolescent went away and never returned.
The deceased cousin, Samantha Chipare, informed reporters that following their dispute, Chipare left his mother’s house to remain with them.
Samantha stated that she was the final person to speak with him before he died.
The young man allegedly pledged to return home the next day, but never did.
They had no idea where he spent the day, according to Samantha, and only saw him later in the evening when he returned.
She claimed that they never questioned his whereabouts after he returned since he had informed them of his plans to visit his mother, and that the last time she saw him alive was when she woke him up to get ready for school.
Samantha claims that her mother discovered Chipare hanging near the toilet later that day.
The deceased cousin said she had no idea Godfrey was planning to commit suicide.
She also claimed that she discovered through neighbours that he had been looking for vegetable pesticides before hanging himself.
The deceased was a form one (JSS 1) student from Chitungizwa in Zimbabwe, Vanguard learned.
