Super Eagles 1-1 draw against Lesotho

Fans were not happy with the outcome, and reactions have been flooding in after the march.

With a disappointing 1-1 draw against minnows Lesotho, Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign got off to a rocky start.

In the 56th minute, Motlomelo Mkhawanazi scored the game’s first goal off a corner kick for the visitors at Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.

Nigeria’s salvation came from Semi Ajayi in the 67th minute, who was unmarked in the box and produced a beautiful header.

Even though they made multiple unwavering attempts, the Super Eagles were unable to produce a winner.

Following Lesotho, Rwanda, and Zimbabwe, Nigeria is now in Group C with one point.
