The three players were booked during Nigeria’s 4–0 victory over Mozambique in the Round of 16 and will miss the semi-final if they receive another caution and Nigeria progress past Algeria.
The Nigeria Football Federation confirmed the disciplinary situation as the Super Eagles stepped up preparations for the last-eight tie in Marrakesh.
Midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, Brentford’s Frank Onyeka and defender Calvin Bassey have all played key roles in Nigeria’s run to the quarter-finals, making their availability a critical factor in Saturday’s match.
Should Nigeria defeat Algeria, the Super Eagles will face either Morocco or Cameroon in the semi-finals.
The quarter-final encounter between Nigeria and Algeria will take place at the Marrakech Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 5pm Nigerian time.
