Actor, entertainer & GoAmbassador, Chioma Omeruah, popularly known as Chigul, has decried the worsening standard of living in Nigeria which has resulted in many trying to cope with the insurmountable problems caused by the government without taking into consideration the well-being of the masses.

The entertainer stated that the predicaments faced by the citizenry have led to people managing in virtually all aspects of life, especially on the basic infrastructural deficit in the country.

On her social media handles, the effervescent Chigul remarked, “Nigerians are managing, we are managing everything, managing no light, managing no fuel, we are just managing everything, we have been managing for years, and it is time to stop managing”.

She continued “I am tired of managing, l am unable to count, l can’t, a.k.a, l can’t, l am tired, are you not tired? It is exhausting, you have no peace in your house, and you have no common one. The house you are supposed to go and stay, there is no light, you want to come outside there is no fuel, l am tired.”

“Go get your PVC (Permanent Voter’s Card) please, as it is the only way we can make sure something else happens. If anyone tells you your PVC is not important, “taa” (Meaning rubbish in Igbo Language). If it is not important, why do they want to buy it, why do they use them to their advantage, you can take your destiny into your own hands by getting your PVC. I am tired. This is my only country,” the multi-talented and award-winning entertainer enthused.

The position of the Actor, Entertainer & GoAmbassador is coming at a time Anap Foundation’s enlightenment campaign themed Go Nigeria, a campaign to sensitize Nigerian youths to participate in the electoral process leading to the election of visionary leaders by registering en-masse for their voter’s cards and collecting same in preparation for voting for visionary candidates in the next general elections is gathering momentum.

GoNigeria is an initiative of Anap Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to promoting good governance in Nigeria. Anap Foundation is partnering with enlightened celebrities (GoAmbassadors), corporate bodies eager to support the initiative via co-branding (GoPartners) as well as many enthusiastic young volunteers (GoVolunteers) who will help to amplify the messaging to their age mates, towards ensuring a huge success is attained in encouraging the youths to register and vote en-masse in the 2023 General Elections.
