Suspected Internet Fraudsters Arrested in Sokoto

Thirteen suspected internet fraudsters have been arrested in Sokoto by the EFCC, all claiming to be students at Usman Danfodio University.

 

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]hirteen suspected internet fraudsters have been arrested in Sokoto State by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended thirteen suspected internet fraudsters in Sokoto State.

The arrests took place on Saturday, September 28, 2024, in the Gidan Yaro and Dandima areas. This action was based on actionable intelligence regarding their alleged involvement in internet-related crimes.

According to an official statement from the EFCC, all suspects claimed to be students of Usman Danfodio University in Sokoto.

Following the completion of investigations, the suspects will be charged in court. The agency is committed to tackling internet fraud and ensuring justice is served.
