Afrobeat queen, Tiwa Savage is gearing up to premiere her movie, Water and Garri in Nigeria, following a successful premiere in New York.
The singer, on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, expressed gratitude to fans who attended the US premiere of her debut movie.
The movie, titled after one of Savage’s songs, marks her entry into the film industry. In an update, Savage thanked attendees of the US premiere, emphasizing her appreciation for their support.
Sharing photos of her attire for the event, Savage revealed that the Vice President’s office collaborated with her for the Lagos screening of the film. She also extended gratitude to the Special Assistant to the President on Digital and Creative Economy and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for their collaboration in the movie premiere.
In her post, she wrote, “New York you owe me nothing. Thank you to everyone that showed up for the US premiere of Water & Garri. LAGOS YOU ARE UP NEXT!! Special shout out to the Office of The Vice President (OVP) who has generously collaborated with us for the Lagos premiere of Water & Garri. Gratitude also overflows to the esteemed office of the SA to the President (OVP) on Digital and Creative Economy @feghox and the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, and Creative Economy, under the leadership of @honhannatumusawa.
