The chairman of Agbado Oke Odo LCDA, Augustine Adeoye Arogundade, is dead, Freelanews can authoritatively report.

Recall that few weeks ago that the secretary to the LCDA, simply known as Alhaja Ayilara, was reported dead.

Arogundade, popularly called Arogun, assumed the position in 2011 when his predecessor, Kenny Okunmuyide, was impeached by the council’s legislative arm, barely one month to his re-election.

Before he was sworned in as contained in a letter with reference number AGK/CO/CMA/VOL 2/009/20/09/2011 dated 20 September, 2011 and signed by Remi Aderibigbe, the Chief Press Secretary at the time, Arogun was the council’s vice chairman.

The development was a fall out of an emergency session by the legislative arm of the council led by Folarin Olayinka, leader of the House, after his erstwhile boss, Pastor Kenny Okunmuyide was impeached over reasons of gross misconduct, maladministration and corruption.

Freelanews can confirm that being of Christian faith, the late local government boss is yet to be buried.

Details shortly.
