Tunde Olatiodunjoye: Rantings of a controversial rabble rouser desperate for attention

Oladunjoye

Many people who are familiar with Tunde Oladunjoye’s unenviable antecedent have counselled that he be left alone to his folly as his style is to continue to stir controversies in order to sustain political patronage from his current benefactor.

  • Is anyone still listening to a political opportunist, Tunde Oladunjoye?

Notwithstanding, one notes that the Biblical injunction which states that “do not answer a fool according to his folly…” in Proverbs 26:4, also advises us to “Answer a fool according to his folly, Lest he be wise in his own eyes” in the next verse of the same scripture.

As it stands, it is now common knowledge that Tunde remains a wretched propagandist who revels in souring the political atmosphere to keep his unproductive life afloat. From OGD to OBJ, to Buruji to Amosun and now to Dapo Abiodun, Tunde maintains a testament of ungratefulness, treachery and back-stabbing. Could this be a pointer to his perpetually miserable outlook? As Yorubas will say: “Ìwà loba àwúre (good character is superior to goodluck).

Tunde, in his latest attack against his benefactor, failed to address the real issues earlier thrown at him. Instead, he went on another voyage of unsubstantiated claims and allegations in a bid to deflect his nakedness that is now a spectacle in the Ogun political marketplace.

Like he did in his first treatise, he attempted to drag innocent persons into his war of attrition. Thankfully, Oluwo-Baaroyin has expertly dissociated himself from Tunde’s cantankerous claims, while asserting the intense efforts of the OGD administration in emplacing several economic legacies including the Agro-Cargo Airport.

If the likes of Tunde likes, they can belly-ache till eternity but that would not change OGD’s pacifist and all-encompassing approach to politics. The Senator has maintained that his his style is not to shut his door against people who are not in his political camp per time, as many traditional politicians are wont to do. This explains why OGD remains one of the very few endearing politicians who enjoys interests and goodwill from differing political camps. That is his strength and you can’t ask a man to sacrifice his strength just to satisfy your hypocritical idiosyncracies.

If anything, it is factual to say OGD’s presence in APC and the 2023 electioneering greatly enhanced the party’s chances, especially in Ogun. Evidence abound and it is not an accident that the Senator recorded the highest ever vote tally in the history of Ogun East Senatorial District elections.

As a long term planner and foreseer, OGD rolled out a robust ward-to-ward campaign to brighten the chances of the party in the zone. He committed great resources to rally back the people who were then getting disillusioned with the party. Can anyone in his right senses agree that the funding of a campaign which visited all the 103 wards of the senatorial district, donated 9 tractors (each costing over N10m), hundreds of sewing machine, grinding machines, deep freezers, generators, POS, countless foodstuffs and many other items too numerous to mention can be offset by a paltry N75 million?

On the purported disagreement with the personalities listed by Olatiodunjoye, there is nothing unusual about temporary political disagreements once they are based on principles and available information. Meanwhile, it is open knowledge that OGD has reunited with all the names mentioned without exception including Amosun, Dimeji Bankole, as well as Chief Martins Kuye, and Senator Kashamu before their demise. May God bless their souls.

Conversely, what is Tunde’s current relationship with his old masters; OGD, Kashamu, SIA, OBJ? It is an easy guess to suggest what Olatiodunjoye will write about DA in a few months to come. Tunde is always available for hatchet jobs.

Again, we challenge Tunde to state in what capacity was he reacting to an interview which was granted by Otunba Gbenga Daniel to highlight the successes of the Tinubu administration in one year and to restate the efforts of his team to realise the BAT presidency. Why is Olatiodunjoye pained that his political benefactor has the soundness of mind to ascertain his place in the economic and socio-political development of Ogun State, nay Nigeria?

Certainly, Tunde tuntide pelu arekere (Tunde is here again with his treachery), all in a bid to reassure his puppeteer of his loyalty. By the way, this same character was seen a few weeks ago kowtowing profusely to OGD and invoking the name of our paramount Ijebu monarch to seek favours. This is the same OGD that Tunde is now seeking to denigrate. Talk about a man who has been invaded by the spirit of recidivism, so much that he has curried the unviable title of “The Most Controversial Political Rabble Rouser in Ogun State.”

It is also auspicious to note the subsistence of a government White Paper that banned Tunde Oladunjoye from holding public office for ever, after he was found negligent and complicit in the handling of civil strife when he was Chairman Ijebu East LG. This was the incident that took the life of a senior police officer, ACP Omolodun.

How he later got appointed by Governor Dapo Abiodun as the Chairman of OGTV will continue to generate official controversy for a long time to come. This could perhaps be the reason why Abiodun felt betrayed by his non-disclosure of this “black portion” in his profile, when applying for political job. Now DA knows better and this is the reason why Tunde was never considered for any substantial appointment subsequently. “The boy has too much baggage.”

In fact, that litigation has not been brought against Oladunjoye for possible refund of all monies taken/collected as salary or/and allowances during his illegal occupation as Chairman OGTV or as Special Assistant, can be related to unofficial and unexplained benevolence enjoyed which may expire soon.

We advise Tunde to seek God’s help and make restitution with the people he has wronged over the years, especially the people of his ward who suspended him as a member of the All Progressives Congress over mismanagement of the 2023 campaign funds in Ijebu East Local Government, amongst other allegations of misconduct. Until his membership status in the party is determined and he clears his name of all the allegations levied against him, Tunde should for his own good stay off public discourse, less so the affairs of the APC or any of its leaders.
