The Grammy-winning South African singer will take her sophomore album on a global tour spanning 11 countries, with Nigeria among her stops

South African Grammy-winning singer Tyla will bring her highly anticipated Tyla A*POP World Tour to Lagos, Nigeria, on December 22, 2026, as part of a global concert run supporting her recently released sophomore album, APOP.

The 24-year-old singer announced the tour dates on Monday through her Instagram page, unveiling a packed international schedule that will take her across 11 countries and several major music markets.

The tour will begin in Paris, France, on October 12 before moving through Amsterdam, London, Glasgow, Manchester, Brussels, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Berlin, Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen.

Tyla will then begin the North American leg in November, with performances scheduled across the United States and Canada, including Sacramento, San Francisco, Vancouver, Seattle, Denver, Chicago, Boston, Toronto and New York.

The singer will continue the tour into December, performing in Washington, D.C., Tampa, Atlanta, Irving, Houston, Austin, Phoenix, San Diego, Los Angeles and Las Vegas before heading to Africa.

Lagos will host Tyla on December 22, marking one of the most anticipated African stops on the Tyla A*POP World Tour.

The singer will then return to her native South Africa for the final stretch of the tour, with performances scheduled for Cape Town on January 4 and Johannesburg on January 9.

The extensive schedule reflects Tyla’s growing international profile as one of the leading figures in the global expansion of African pop music.

Tyla first achieved worldwide recognition in 2023 with her breakthrough single, Water, which became a global hit and helped propel the singer into the international spotlight.

The song also earned her the Best African Music Performance award at the 2024 Grammy Awards, making her the inaugural winner of the category.

She subsequently built on that success with her self-titled debut album, Tyla, which featured songs such as Truth or Dare, Jump and Art.

Her rising influence was further reinforced at the 2026 Grammy Awards, where she retained the Best African Music Performance prize.

She emerged ahead of fellow Nigerian stars including Burna Boy, Wizkid, Ayra Starr, Davido and Omah Lay, alongside Ugandan singer Eddy Kenzo and Mehran Matin.

With the Lagos concert now confirmed, Nigerian fans will have the opportunity to experience the singer’s latest musical era live as she brings APOP to one of Africa’s biggest entertainment capitals.

The December 22 performance is expected to be a significant homecoming-style moment for the continent’s rapidly expanding Afropop audience, coming after Tyla’s extensive run across Europe and North America.
