Ughelli APC endorsement declares support for President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori as sole candidates for the 2027 general elections

Ughelli APC endorsement has reaffirmed its unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, endorsing them as the party’s sole candidates for the 2027 general elections.

During a gathering on Sunday in Ovwian, Udu Local Government Area, leaders and stakeholders of the Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency Forum (U3) of the All Progressives Congress passed a unanimous vote of confidence in the duo.

Moving the motion for the endorsement, Hon. Francis Waive, the member representing the federal constituency in the House of Representatives, applauded President Tinubu’s developmental achievements, particularly the establishment of the Federal Medical Centre in Udu.

He also commended Governor Oborevwori’s performance, describing him as a diligent and progressive leader who deserved a second term.

Waive urged party members to mobilise constituents for the ongoing voter registration to ensure overwhelming support in 2027.

The motion, seconded by Hon. Matthew Omonade of the Delta State House of Assembly, was adopted through a unanimous voice vote conducted by the forum’s chairman, Olorogun John Oguma.

In his remarks, Oguma emphasised that the U3 Forum was created to strengthen party unity and ensure victory for the APC in the forthcoming elections.

He declared emphatically that “in Abuja, there is no vacancy in Aso Rock, and in Asaba, there is no vacancy in Dennis Osadebe House,” reflecting the group’s confidence in both leaders.

The deputy chairman of the forum, Chief Eddie Ono Sorhue, expressed gratitude to the leadership for hosting the meeting and lauded the harmony within the party.

Similarly, the forum’s secretary and former Secretary to the Delta State Government, Hon. Festus Agas, praised members for their commitment and unity of purpose.

Udu Local Government Chairman, Chief Vincent Oyibode, commended the ongoing voter registration sensitisation drive and urged members to ensure their communities participate actively.

Party stalwart Chief Fred Majemite described the Ughelli APC Endorsement as a bold and strategic move, calling it “a step in the right direction.”

He encouraged members to return to their wards to mobilise grassroots support for the APC.

Former lawmaker Hon. Chris Oghenechovwen stressed that the forum’s continued unity was vital to sustaining political success.
