UK-based nurse Adebimpe Alasoadura criticises gospel singer Busola Oke and talk show host Biola Adebayo over hunger claims and N55,000 nightly hotel payments

UK-based Nigerian nurse Adebimpe Alasoadura has called out gospel singer Busola Oke, popularly known as Eleyele, over her recent claims of hunger and financial hardship.

The nurse questioned why the singer would pay N55,000 per night for hotel accommodation while publicly appealing for financial assistance.

Busola Oke had earlier shared an emotional video speaking about loneliness, depression and debt.

She later appeared on the talk show hosted by Nollywood actress Biola Adebayo, where she discussed her struggles.

However, her revelation that she was staying in a hotel reportedly costing N55,000 per night sparked scepticism online.

Alasoadura expressed disbelief, arguing that someone unable to afford food should reconsider expensive accommodation.

She also criticised Biola Adebayo for sharing the singer’s bank details during the interview, accusing the host of turning her platform into a fundraising venue.

According to the nurse, public sympathy should not replace personal financial responsibility.

The controversy has generated mixed reactions online.

Some users questioned the consistency of Busola Oke’s claims, pointing to her appearance and surroundings during the emotional video.

Others defended her, suggesting that financial struggles can affect people differently.

The debate has reignited conversations about celebrity fundraising, accountability and the role of media platforms in soliciting public donations.
