Unity Project Nigeria launches Unity Festival 2024 to celebrate diversity and foster unity with cultural events in five Nigerian cities
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Unity Project Nigeria (TUPN), led by Convener Jennifer Serano, took a significant step towards promoting national cohesion as it visited Hon. Bitrus Lawrence Garki, Mandate Secretary (Commissioner) of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council Services.This meeting served as an introduction to the Unity Festival 2024, a landmark initiative aimed at bridging the cultural and religious divides across Nigeria.
Serano shared details of the Unity Festival 2024, a vibrant celebration that will highlight Nigeria’s cultural diversity through art, food, music, dance, and drama.
Set to take place in five major cities across the country, including an event in the FCT on December 14, 2024, at the Shehu Musa Yaradua Centre in Abuja, the festival is expected to draw crowds from all backgrounds.
The festival features an exciting line-up of events, including a carnival parade showcasing the spectrum of Nigeria’s ethnic diversity, cooking and art competitions for showcasing culinary and artistic talents, and engaging cultural activities tailored for children.
These events underscore the festival’s commitment to inclusivity and educational enrichment.
Hon. Bitrus Lawrence Garki commended TUPN’s efforts, remarking, “The Unity Project Nigeria’s mission to foster inclusivity and unity through cultural celebration is admirable.
