Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior is set to sign a new six-year contract with the Spanish champions, bringing an end to months of speculation over his future and reaffirming his long-term commitment to the Santiago Bernabéu.

Posting on X on Thursday, Romano wrote: “Vinicius Jr new six-year contract at Real Madrid, set to be signed and announced soon.

Vini always wanted to stay at Real Madrid, Florentino Pérez always considered Vini as key part of the project. José Mourinho also heavily involved.”

The agreement effectively ends reports linking the Brazil international with a possible move to Premier League club Arsenal, with Vinicius consistently making clear his desire to remain in Madrid.
