‘We shall mobilize’ Group threatens FG, says Nigeria will be shutdown if Nnamdi Kanu is not produced in Court

Nnamdi Kanu

A Pro Biafra group, The Indigenous Biafra Warriors (IBW) has threatened to shutdown the entire country if the IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu is not brought to court in the next adjourned date.

The matter was adjourned to Oct. 21 by an Abuja High Court Judge who refused to proceed with the matter in the absence of Nnamdi Kanu who could not be produced in Court.

The leader of the Biafra Warriors, Comrade Ndubuisi Igwekani (aka Agu Biafra) said any attempt to keep Kanu away from Court on Oct. 21 would not be tolerated.

“We shall mobilize and shutdown the entire country if Nnamdi Kanu is not produced in court on the next adjourned date.

Nobody should blame us if the DSS fails to produce him in court so that if the government has anything against him they should present it before the Court.”

On the decision to cancel the sit-at-home earlier scheduled every Monday, Comrade Igwekani said it was shelved in consideration of the sufferings of the people.

He lambasted those who were calling for the cancellation of the sit-at-home based on its effect on the economy of the South East referring them to the disaster the economy is facing based on the activities of the Fulani herdsmen ” and nobody is talking.”

“If we really care about the economy of the South-East then we must stop pretending and face the the herdsmen invasion of Igbo communities without fear or favor.

“Therefore, every well meaning Igbo leader including the governor’s of the South East must rise and do what they ought to do to end the issue of Fulani herdsmen.

“If they fail to do that then the youths would take it upon themselves to ensure that the herdsmen are stopped because the killings are getting out of hand. So many people were recently massacred in Ebonyi and Enugu states. We can no longer tolerate the herdsmen killings in our Communities.

“We have also resolved that the problem in Ohanaeze should immediately be settled in the interest of our people. Lots of confusion and disunity arising from the election. We urge the Bishop’s who have intervened to quickly come up with a recipe for peace. And we expect that this should be concluded before the end of August.

The group also called for concerted efforts by the South East governor’s and other major Stakeholders to put pressure on the federal government and secure the release of Nnamdi Kanu.

“We can’t just keep quiet pretending nothing has happened. We therefore call on all genuine Igbo sons to rally round and see that Nnamdi Kanu is released.”
