Some residents of the Federal Housing Estate, in Aboru, a community in Iyana Ipaja, under Alimosho Local Government, have raised their voices against the leadership of the Community Development Association.
The protesters specifically from the Harmony Estate (AGO 40), who were displaying their grievances against the bad state of power supply by the Ikeja Electricity as shown in the video above, insisted that the hardship being faced by the residents was due to ineffectiveness of the leaders in the estate under the chairmanship of Funsho Balogun and demanded for immediate resignation of all who they tagged as ‘old cargoes’.
Among other demands, the youth were seeking for immediate switching to premium service from the current state by the Ikeja Electricity. According to them, it is now getting up to eight days since there is power supply in the estate.
The video below detailed why the residents believed their sufferings was as a result of ineffective leadership as a sister estate, Hilltop, are enjoying uninterrupted power supply as testified to by its chairman.
