The Afrobeats star says he is enjoying the creative process but has yet to reveal the project’s title or release date
Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, sparked fresh excitement among music fans on Monday, August 24, 2026, after hinting at a new album and revealing that he is enjoying the creative process.

The Grammy Award-winning singer made the disclosure in a post on X, where he suggested that work on the project was progressing well without giving away details about its title or release date. (Realnews Magazine)
“Having so much fun making this next one! Can’t wait to share #album,” Wizkid wrote.
The brief message was enough to trigger an enthusiastic response from fans, many of whom immediately sought more information about what could become his next major studio release.
Wizkid, however, kept the details close to his chest.
When some fans pressed him for an indication of when the project would arrive, the singer offered a playful response: “E go drop, make una stop dey fight.”
The remark appeared to reassure fans that the album would eventually be released, even as Wizkid stopped short of committing to a date.
The Wizkid new album would follow Morayo, his sixth studio album, which arrived on November 22, 2024 through Starboy Entertainment, RCA Records and Sony Music International.
