Edwina Brown murder case

A 36-year-old woman in Arkansas has been brutally killed by her husband, a decade after he orchestrated an ambush that claimed her boyfriend’s life and which she survived, leading to his earlier release

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he tragic death of 36-year-old Edwina Brown, who was brutally shot inside her home on March 27, 2024, has unearthed a shocking decade-old history involving her husband, Danny Brown, now the primary suspect in her murder.

The current tragedy unfolded at Ms. Brown’s residence at 4704 Fairleigh Drive in Little Rock. Police reports indicate that Danny Brown arrived at the home, where Edwina had been living apart from him.

An argument ensued, escalating rapidly until Danny allegedly produced a gun and shot her. Ms. Brown was rushed to a nearby hospital but tragically succumbed to her injuries.

This devastating event marks a chilling echo of a past crime. Over ten years prior, Danny Brown had orchestrated a deadly ambush targeting Edwina and her then-boyfriend.

While her boyfriend was killed in the attack, Edwina survived. In a perplexing turn of events, just two weeks after the ambush, Edwina married Danny Brown.

This decision, which defied logic for many, led to Danny’s release from any charges related to the ambush, as Edwina declined to testify against him.

One of our biggest tips, I guess, came from Danny Brown himself. He actually called the Little Rock Police Department, gave a statement to them, and then made the statement that he would basically either harm himself or harm others if he was ever cornered by anyone, especially law enforcement.

The two gunmen involved in the initial ambush, however, faced justice, with one receiving a 55-year prison sentence and the other a life term.

For nearly eleven years, Edwina and Danny lived together, even having a child, Danny Maurice Brown III. To outsiders, their life appeared to be a fresh start, with social media often showing seemingly happy family skits.

Edwina continued with her work and passions, seemingly building a new life. Yet, behind closed doors, their relationship was far from stable, and Danny’s violent nature, which had surfaced a decade earlier, re-emerged.

Following the shooting, Danny Brown fled the scene. Little Rock Police, aided by the US Marshals Office, have launched an urgent manhunt for him.

Authorities have warned the public not to approach Danny Brown, as he is considered armed and dangerous.

A police spokesperson revealed that Brown himself contacted the Little Rock Police Department, giving a statement and threatening to harm himself or others if cornered by law enforcement.

The investigation is ongoing, with police working to confirm potential out-of-state cases against Mr. Brown.
