The Vice Chancellor of N.O.U.N represented by Mr O. Adekunle was delighted with the effort and achievement of the graduating students.
He gave kudos to them for their outstanding performance with particular praise for the effort of one of the female students, Okike Chinyere, who was awarded B.Sc Peace and Conflict Resolution, Second Class Upper Division and emerged as the best graduating student in the first degree category.
Mr Alegbe Afolabi was equally awarded MSc in Peace and Conflict Resolution.
Nweke Chibueze, during his vote of thanks was full of gratitude and praise to the Controller General, Haliru Nababa, and the Vice Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria for the opportunity given to them to study and improve themselves while being in detention. The Nigerian Correctional Service, as part of its statutory responsibility, provide avenue for reformation and rehabilitation of inmates in their custody. Access to education from primary to tertiary forms part of these life changing opportunities given to all inmates in custody.
