The win, which underscores WPP Media’s growing influence in Southeast Asia, sees the agency take on full responsibility for integrated media planning and buying, as well as analytics across the Vietnamese market.

The remit also includes deployment of WPP Media’s in-house Data & Analytics expertise and influencer marketing capabilities through its specialist arm, GOAT.

In a statement announcing the appointment, WPP Media revealed that KFC Vietnam initiated the pitch to find a media partner capable of unlocking the full potential of media as a business growth engine.

The decision to appoint WPP Media, the release noted, was informed by the agency’s “standout strategic approach, strong business understanding, extensive network support, and competitive commercial offering.”

Sibojyoti Chatterjee (Shiv), General Director of KFC Vietnam, said the brand was seeking a partner that could deliver more than surface-level execution.

Winning consumers’ hearts at the speed and scale Vietnam demands calls for more than creativity—it requires the data strength to turn every impression into measurable growth.
