In a separate development, the police command announced the arrest of two suspected motorcycle thieves in Gulani and Jakusko Local Government Areas of the state.

One of the motorcycles was reported stolen on May 25, 2026, by Alhaji Mamman, 27, of Kaliyari Fulani Settlement in Bursari LGA, after it was allegedly taken near a shop along Gwiokura Road at about 4:30 p.m.

Operatives reportedly arrested a suspect while riding the stolen motorcycle along Jakusko Road, with police stating that the suspect confessed during interrogation.

In another incident, Mohammed Garba of Bursali Village, Gulani LGA, was arrested for allegedly snatching a red Boxer motorcycle valued at ₦400,000.

According to the police, the suspect posed as a passenger before diverting the motorcycle during a trip from Maiduwa Village to Ngalda Town in Fika LGA.

Following a distress call and collaboration with local vigilantes, the suspect was tracked and arrested, with the complainant identifying him during investigation.
