In a statement following the one-year remembrance of Mohbad’s tragic death, Fabiyi expressed frustration over perceived attempts to cover up the case.

He alleged that those involved in the singer’s death are spending significant amounts to manipulate the investigation.

Fabiyi emphasized the importance of peaceful protest, stating, “It is imperative that we mount legitimate pressure.”

He called on the public to join the movement and urged Lagos State representatives to form a committee to investigate the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s demise.

Highlighting the potential existence of CCTV footage from Mohbad’s residence, Fabiyi criticized authorities for not retrieving this crucial data. He pointed out that builders and security personnel in the estate may possess vital information.

The protest will be conducted under the hashtags #JusticeForMohbad and #BreakTheSilence. Fabiyi encouraged attendees to wear black tops and white armbands, urging everyone to “speak in one voice.”
