The Nigerian Bar Association has through its Section on Legal Practice, NBA-SLP, issued a Cease and Desist Notice to First Bank of Nigeria Plc over an unlawful advertorial.

The Bank had in a publication on ThisDay newspaper, used the phrase, “Get Legal Advice For Your Business,” claiming to offer clients legal advise for their businesses.

The act by the bank is against laws regulating the legal profession and the law practice in Nigeria, prompting the letter by the NBA-SBL.
