‘9th edition’ Onipokia, Jimi Agbaje, others grace Ogo Yoruba Awards 2021

The 9th edition of the Ogo Yoruba Awards, OYA Awards, organized by Ambassador Wale Adeoba, popularly known as Mr. Packaging, was an event echoing the great culture of the Yoruba race in Nigeria.

The credible awards event is positioned to celebrate the Yoruba glory beyond the heritage and culture arranged to unite and amplify Nigerians that are doing good works, irrespective of tribe from all walks of life which include Nollywood stars, entertainers and professionals in their private and public personalities.

This year event started with a lecture led by Chief Jimi Agbaje as the Chief Host and Oba Onipokia, who was also the Royal Father of the day.

The special guests, awardees and the members of the OYA Awards Group were all thrilled by performances from different artistes and musicians, which included Alhaji Sulaimon Adio Atawewe, Dele Gold, Ere Asalatu, King Jide Harmony, Jiron, Lildex, Black Edge Productions and many others.

The 9th Ogo Yoruba Awards event, which was held at the prestigious NUT Pavillion Event Centre, Lagos on Sunday, December 5, 2021, was filled with glamour and splendour as invitees adorned colourful and uniformed African style Ankara.

OYA Awards started nine years ago and has, within the period, become a global brand embraced by many across the world.

This year’s edition was anchored by Gbenga Adeyinka D1st, ace radio broadcasters, Bewaji Adekunle (JP) and Alimat Adesola (LASGIDI FM).

Other special guests present were the distinguished HRM Oba Olusola Adeniyi Olaniyan ARIWIGBADE OSHIGIN II, Onipokia of Ipokia, Chief Jimi Agbaje, Hon Shina Peller, Hon Segun Olulade ELENIYAN, Gbenga Adeyinka D1st, Chief Olumide Falola (SWEET ESTATE BOSS), Otunba Koiku Ayinde Adeshina, Mr Soji Pele Clement, Olushola Olatunji Sholaja, Hon Idris Aregbe and others.
