Mother of viral ‘Mummy Calm Down’ boy allegedly takes her own life

Ore rose to prominence in 2020 after a video of him begging his mother to calm down while she was rebuking him went viral.

He was thereafter invited by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, obtained ambassadorial deals, and even appeared in a movie.

Unfortunately, three years after Ore rose to prominence, his mother apparently committed suicide for reasons unknown to her.

A social media user revealed on the microblogging platform that she left behind three children for her husband.

The user, @sammydo214, wrote:

“The woman in the viral Mummy Calm down Video has just committed suicide here in Benin. She refused to speak to anyone about her problems. She left 3 kids for her husband, including the popular Mummy Calm down boy.”

While the sad news remains unconfirmed, many netizens have taken to social media to mourn her alleged demise, highlighting the concerning issue of depression in the country.
