Nigerians on social media are demanding justice for Idowu Christianah, a student allegedly murdered by Ayomide Adeleye after her abduction and ransom attempt.

[dropcap]N[/dropcap]igerians on social media are rallying under the hashtag #JusticeForChristianah, seeking justice for Idowu Christianah, a student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), who was allegedly murdered by Ayomide Adeleye, a 200-level student at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU).

Christianah went missing on August 19, 2024, after her abductors used her WhatsApp account to contact her family, demanding a ₦1.5 million ransom.

Despite raising ₦350,000 and transferring it as instructed, her family lost communication with the kidnappers after providing a bank statement.

Investigators traced the ransom funds to Ayomide’s betting and personal bank accounts, leading to his arrest on September 3, 2024, after military and police traced his mobile device to his home.

During interrogation, Ayomide confessed to killing Christianah and burying her body at his family’s residence.
