Peter Horgan, CEO of Omnicom Media Group (OMG) Australia and New Zealand, will step down from his role after 21 years with the company.

Horgan, who has served as CEO for the past 15 years—initially for OMD Australia and later for OMG Australia and New Zealand—will remain in the role until mid-2025, transitioning to chair once his successor is found.

Throughout his tenure, Horgan led OMG with a focus on transparent business practices and long-term relationships with major clients, contributing significantly to the organisation’s success. He also represented OMG as chair of the Media Federation of Australia for 10 years.

Horgan expressed his gratitude for leading the exceptional OMG teams across Australia and New Zealand, stating, “Nothing is forever, and I’m grateful to Tony [Harradine] for supporting my next chapter. My focus now is to set up OMG for ongoing success.”

Tony Harradine, CEO of Omnicom Media Group Asia Pacific, credited Horgan with elevating OMG’s competitive edge, noting that this transition is a natural evolution of his commitment to the organisation’s continued success.

Harradine also highlighted the company’s focus on ensuring the leadership succession aligns with OMG’s values and business ambitions.
