[dropcap]F[/dropcap]ormer Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo has cautioned that Satan has the power to enthrone leaders, though such leadership is destined for failure.
Speaking during a Zoom programme titled “Boiling Point Arena,” hosted by a radio station in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Obasanjo delved into the spiritual dynamics of leadership on Sunday night.

Obasanjo stressed that while most leaders are prepared and positioned by God, not all leadership stems from divine will.
“Most leaders are prepared by God and put in place by Him, and when that happens, the chances of success are higher than when you make yourself a leader, which may not be the act of God,” he said.
Rejecting the notion that all leaders are God-ordained, Obasanjo pointed to Satan’s role in influencing leadership. “A leader can also be made by Satan.
We must accept that Satan is real, has power, and his power must not be underrated,” the former president warned, citing the biblical story of Job as an example of Satan’s influence.
Obasanjo’s remarks underscore his belief that leadership requires moral and spiritual vigilance, as leaders enthroned by divine intent are more likely to succeed than those driven by selfish ambition or darker forces.
