[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he political and social landscape of Lagos has been plunged into mourning following the untimely death of Ambode Akinsoji Ademola, affectionately known as Dodo.

He passed away in the early hours of Friday, January 31, 2025, at Sugar Land, Texas, USA, leaving behind a significant legacy of service, leadership, and dedication to his community.

A prominent figure in Lagos politics, Ambode Akinsoji Ademola was widely recognised for his contributions to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and for his tireless work as a grassroots mobiliser.

His political journey, deeply rooted in the Ijede region of Ikorodu, earned him respect and admiration from party members and citizens alike.

Ambode Akinsoji was known for his active role in championing development initiatives and strengthening the APC’s influence within Lagos State.

In addition to his political prowess, Ambode Akinsoji was also the brother of Akinwunmi Ambode, the former Governor of Lagos State, a connection that further solidified his place in the annals of Lagosian political history.

The Ambode family has long been recognised for its impactful service in governance, and his passing marks the end of a significant era for both the political community and the residents of Lagos.

Ambode Akinsoji is survived by his children: Akiwande, Akindele, Bunmi, and Bola Ambode. Family members, friends, political leaders, and community stakeholders have begun to express their tributes and sorrow, reflecting on his profound impact on the people of Lagos and beyond.
