United Bank for Africa (UBA) launches upgraded PoS Terminal and MONI App to empower SMEs, drive financial inclusion, and enhance digital payments across Africa.

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]frica’s Global Bank, United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, has announced the launch of its upgraded Point of Sale (PoS) Terminal and UBA MONI App, strengthening its commitment to redefining digital banking across the continent.

This launch is part of UBA’s ongoing campaign titled Innovation for Progress: Empowering SMEs, Connecting Communities, Simplifying Banking.

Designed to meet the growing demand for fast, secure, and seamless payment solutions, the upgraded PoS terminal introduces cutting-edge features such as instant settlement, real-time transaction monitoring, 100% transaction success rate, and pay-by-link functionality.

With these enhancements, UBA is ensuring that businesses of all sizes can enjoy greater flexibility and reliability.

The MONI App, built to support UBA’s agency banking network, now includes instant settlement, pay-by-transfer, secret question security, enhanced inbox, and a refreshed homepage.

These features further boost its already robust offerings, such as BVN/NIN account opening, real-time transfers, airtime/data payments with agent discounts, and instant PoS deployment.

Shamsideen Fashola, UBA’s Group Head, Retail and Digital Banking, said:
