ADC Imo 2027 elections

The African Democratic Congress has launched “Operation Power Must Change Hand 2027” in Imo State, pledging to unseat the APC government in the next general elections through a ballot revolution

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]DC Imo 2027 elections campaign has officially kicked off with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) declaring its intention to oust the All Progressives Congress (APC) from power in the next general elections.

Speaking at the Convergence of Coalition Partners Meeting held in Owerri, the National Vice Chairman (South East) of the ADC, Chilos Godsent, said the party would leave nothing to chance in reclaiming the state from what he described as “a reactionary, inept and repressive government”.

The event, themed “Operation Power Must Change Hand 2027 in Imo State”, brought together over 300 party loyalists, including recent decampees from rival political groups.

Godsent declared that the ADC was poised to lead a “ballot revolution” aimed at defeating the APC-led administration, which he accused of subjugating the people of Imo State for the past five years.

“We are committed to leading the ballot revolution in Imo State in 2027 to end the repressive and exploitative regime that has brutalised our people for five years,” he stated.

Speakers at the meeting criticised the state government’s growing impunity, citing widespread human rights violations and worsening economic conditions under the current leadership.

Party leaders also used the occasion to welcome new members, reinforcing ADC’s message of unity and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 contest.

The meeting signalled the beginning of what the ADC described as an “uncompromising push” for political change in Imo State, promising a people-centred alternative to the status quo.
