Isah, founder of the Prophetic Victory Voice of Fire Ministry, was taken into custody by the Federal Criminal Investigation Department last week, shocking worshippers and members of the wider public.

Known for his impassioned sermons and spiritual claims, Isah had built a loyal congregation around his church, located behind Noble Noel Academy, opposite the Gwagwalada Market.

His arrest has now cast a dark shadow over his religious image, with serious allegations of abuse of trust and exploitation of a minor under his care.

A review of the pastor’s Facebook page shows regular posts on holiness and spiritual discipline. On June 15, during Father’s Day, he posted a prayer calling for strength and love in fatherhood.

Just days later, he was arrested for a crime that violates the very principles he appeared to uphold.

The last known service he led was on Wednesday, June 18. By the next day, June 19, he was absent from the pulpit, raising concerns among members.

Authorities later confirmed that he had been arrested for allegedly using his position to sexually assault a teenage girl.

Sources within the FCID disclosed that the case is being handled with a degree of secrecy, largely due to the suspect’s influence as a religious figure.

Some officers have reportedly attempted to shield the pastor from public exposure, even as pressure mounts for the law to take its full course.

Attempts to reach the pastor have so far been unsuccessful. His mobile line has remained unreachable, and the church has not issued any formal response since his arrest.

The silence has deepened the public’s suspicion that efforts are underway to suppress the scandal.

A senior official at the FCID, speaking anonymously, emphasised the need for transparency. “No religious leader should ever hide behind the pulpit to escape justice. Power abused must be held to account.”

The arrest has reignited conversations around the role of faith leaders and the need for strict oversight to prevent spiritual manipulation and abuse.

Child rights activists and local advocacy groups have demanded swift prosecution, arguing that the incident underscores a broader pattern of unchecked authority within religious institutions.

As the investigation continues, the FCID has assured the public that no individual will be above the law, regardless of social or spiritual standing.
