Mr Tinubu is scheduled to speak during Plenary Session 4, themed “Leveraging a Common Heritage – The Afreximbank Caribbean Initiative”, where he will contribute to discussions on deepening economic ties between Africa and the Caribbean through shared history and mutual prosperity.

This year’s edition of the Afreximbank Annual Meetings is of particular significance, marking a symbolic return to Nigeria—32 years after the inaugural meetings were first held in the country.

The 2025 gathering, taking place from 25 to 27 June at the International Conference Centre in Abuja, features seminars, plenaries, break-out sessions and side events, culminating in a closed Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on 28 June.

Themed “Building the Future on Decades of Resilience”, AAM2025 will reflect on the transformative journey of Afreximbank, its strategic leadership, and how it continues to shape the continent’s economic landscape.

Leveraging our shared heritage to unlock trade and investment between Africa and the Caribbean is both urgent and promising.

The event underscores the Bank’s commitment to trade transformation, investment attraction, and unlocking economic prosperity across Africa.

Recognised as one of the continent’s most dynamic and multi-dimensional gatherings, AAM2025 brings together leaders across public and private sectors for discussions, deal-making, lobbying, and cultural showcases that run alongside the main business sessions.

Expected guests include:
– Prof. Benedict O. Oramah, President & Chairman, Afreximbank
– Mr. Wale Edun, Nigeria’s Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy
– Mr. Aliko Dangote, Founder & CEO, Dangote Group
– Mr. Tony Elumelu, Chairman, United Bank for Africa
– Hon. Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs
– Nana Akufo-Addo, Former President of Ghana
