Peter Okoye blasts Jude in a heated online post, reigniting a feud over alleged theft, betrayal, and success after P-Square’s bitter split
[dropcap]P[/dropcap]eter Okoye blasts Jude in a fresh social media rant, accusing his elder brother and former manager of betrayal, theft and wishing him financial failure.

The estranged pair, once central figures in the P-Square legacy, are now bitterly divided, with Peter’s remarks further fanning the flames of a legal and familial conflict.
The renewed war of words stems from a cryptic Instagram post by Jude Okoye, who lamented how some artistes he supported turned on him once they gained fame.
Although no names were mentioned, Jude accused them of greed and financial mismanagement, suggesting they now feign victimhood instead of accepting responsibility.
Peter, popularly known as Mr P, took the post personally. On Monday, he responded on Facebook with pointed accusations, recalling Jude’s testimony to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, where he allegedly labelled Peter as broke. Peter ridiculed the claim, noting that Jude ended up in prison during the proceedings.
“Calling me broke or wishing I was broke has been your wish,” Peter wrote. “These are the exact words you told the EFCC officials.
And you ended up getting locked up in prison… You were employed as a manager and got sacked, just like the other two managers before you. Period!”
Mr P added that life after P-Square has been more fulfilling both financially and personally. He explained that his solo earnings now exceed what he received when the group’s income was split three ways, including with their manager.
“I understand this may not sit well with some people, but truth be told… it really makes me question what’s the point of sharing with people who stole from you, betrayed you, and still discriminate against your efforts!?”
He reflected on how his attitude has changed since going solo. Rather than being overly accommodating, Peter said he has adopted a more defensive stance, matching people’s energy and protecting his peace of mind.
“This solo journey has been a blessing—more rewarding and profitable, both financially and personally, no doubt,” he wrote. “Respect me, I respect you! Ignore me, I ignore you! Cross me, and I cut you off, simple.”
The feud has its roots in the highly publicised break-up of P-Square. The duo, comprising Peter and his twin brother Paul Okoye, were one of Africa’s biggest music exports before they officially disbanded in 2017.
Despite a public reconciliation in 2021, the scars of their fallout have yet to fully heal.
Paul Okoye had previously confirmed the group’s split and alleged that Peter filed a petition with the EFCC, accusing him and Jude of mismanaging P-Square’s funds and owning suspicious assets.
That petition led to court proceedings and, eventually, Jude Okoye’s arrest.
Jude, who runs Northside Music Ltd, is now facing a four-count charge related to alleged misappropriation of \$1 million and £34,537.
Though he secured bail of N50 million from the Special Offences Court in Ikeja earlier this year, the trial remains ongoing.
