The man was intercepted by members of the Agbekoya Society of Nigeria as they returned from a courtesy visit to AIG Adegoke Fayoade of Zone 2 Police Command, Onikan.
Led by President General Aare Kamorudeen Okikiola, the group noticed suspicious activity at the edge of the bridge and stopped immediately. The team moved quickly and physically restrained the distressed individual.
“We were just returning from a fruitful meeting with the AIG when we saw him. God used us today,” said Aare Kamorudeen.

He added, “This is exactly what our mission is about protecting lives, restoring hope, and partnering with the police for a safer society.”
The man, believed to be in his early thirties, was handed over to the Berger Pin Down unit of the Bariga Police Division. Authorities have confirmed he is undergoing medical and psychological evaluation.
Social media and civil groups have praised the swift response, stressing the need for stronger cooperation between traditional organisations and formal security agencies.
Earlier that day, Agbekoya had held talks with the AIG on farm security, grassroots intelligence, and curbing impersonators misusing their identity.
