Glo international call tariff

Glo international call tariff reduction offers new rates as low as ₦30 per minute for calls to US, UK, India, and more. Great value for Nigerian users

Glo international call tariff reduction has officially kicked in, and Nigerians are already benefiting from significantly lower IDD (International Direct Dialing) rates.

Beginning August 10, Globacom slashed call tariffs to over 15 major international destinations, with some rates now as low as ₦30 per minute.

This bold move by the indigenous telecom giant is designed to offer greater value to both new and existing subscribers across the country.

It’s also a strategic play to strengthen Glo’s position as Nigeria’s go-to network for affordable international calls.

Nigerians calling family, friends, or business associates abroad will now pay less:

  • United States: ₦30/min (down from ₦35)
  • India: ₦40/min (down from ₦45)
  • United Kingdom: ₦350/min (down from ₦400)
  • China: ₦75/min
  • Saudi Arabia: ₦300/min
  • Cameroon: ₦700/min
  • United Arab Emirates: ₦325/min (down from ₦450)

Glo also revised rates for several African neighbours, enhancing cross-border affordability:

  • Benin Republic: ₦650/min
  • Niger Republic: ₦750/min
  • Ghana: ₦500/min
  • Togo: ₦650/min
  • Côte d’Ivoire & Libya: ₦700/min
  • Malawi: ₦1,100/min (down from ₦1,200)
  • Germany: ₦550/min

A spokesperson from Glo confirmed that the tariff adjustments are part of a broader strategy to reward loyal customers and attract new ones.

The company aims to make international calling more accessible, ensuring Nigerians stay connected to global loved ones and business networks without breaking the bank.

“This move reflects our commitment to affordability and customer satisfaction. We want Nigerians to see Glo as the most cost-effective option for international communication,” the company stated.

In a further win for customers, Glo hinted at new IDD bundles coming soon.

These are expected to offer even better deals for frequent international callers, expanding options beyond the pay-per-minute model.

Nigerians are encouraged to take advantage of the new rates immediately and enjoy seamless, cost-effective conversations across borders.
