Speaking during her installation in Umuahia, Abia State, on Sunday, Iwegbulam launched a programme tagged Sacred Trust,” outlining four flagship projects worth over N9 million to address urgent community needs.

The Rotary Club Umudike Central agenda includes:

Education: N3.2 million will be invested in renovating a six-room toilet block at Umuaraga Umudike Primary School to improve hygiene and restore dignity to pupils.
Health: A N2 million mobile health outreach will deliver screenings, preventive care, and treatment to underserved communities.
Economic Empowerment: N3 million will fund vocational training and starter kits for rural men and women, enabling sustainable livelihoods.
Environment: N800,000 will support tree planting, clean-up exercises, and eco-education campaigns for long-term sustainability.

“We are not waiting for change, we are becoming the change,” Iwegbulam declared, emphasizing her commitment to impact-driven leadership.

Outgoing president Rotarian Chinyere Offor reflected on a year of robust community service and pledged her full support to her successor.

“Chigo brings fresh perspective and passion. With your support, she will lead us to even greater heights,” she said.

Professor Vince Asor, Chair of the Installation Committee, reaffirmed Rotary’s values of integrity, fellowship, and service, describing the club as “a family of individuals committed to building a better world, one community at a time.”

The installation ceremony also featured awards, new member inductions, and the inauguration of the Board of Directors, signaling a fresh chapter of service for the 2025/2026 Rotary year.
