Alphonso Davies has made a positive step forward in his recovery, returning to training with the ball five months after suffering a torn ACL during international duty with Canada.

The 24-year-old Bayern Munich left-back sustained the injury in March during the CONCACAF Nations League third-place playoff against the United States.
The setback had ruled him out of both club and international duties, sparking concerns over the long-term impact on his career.
On Monday, Bayern Munich confirmed in a brief statement: “Alphonso Davies was able to train again with the ball on Monday.”
The Canadian captain had resumed individual fitness work a month ago, and his latest progress signals a strong recovery trajectory.
Bayern expect him to be fully available for selection by October, marking a seven-month rehabilitation process.
In February, Davies reaffirmed his commitment to the Bundesliga champions by signing a contract extension until 2030.
His return will be welcomed by a Bayern squad currently dealing with multiple injury absences.
Among the sidelined are Jamal Musiala, who is not expected to return from a broken ankle until 2026, and Hiroki Ito, who may be fit before the year ends.
