Wike predicts Tinubu 2027 win, counters El-Rufai’s bold claim

Wike Predicts Tinubu 2027 Win

Wike Predicts Tinubu 2027 Win, dismissing El-Rufai’s claim that Tinubu would come third, insisting opposition has no real threat

Wike Predicts Tinubu 2027 Win with what he described as absolute confidence, dismissing projections by former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, that President Bola Tinubu would finish third in the next presidential election.

Speaking during a media chat in Abuja on Monday, the Federal Capital Territory Minister said he was ready to stake a bet on Tinubu’s victory.

El-Rufai had earlier told Channels Television that Tinubu had “no pathway to win” in 2027, arguing that Nigerians were worse off under his government and predicting no outright winner in the first ballot.

But Wike strongly rejected that view, calling El-Rufai’s analysis flawed. He questioned why the former governor did not specify who he believed would come first or second in the race.

On opposition chances, Wike downplayed the influence of Labour Party’s Peter Obi, noting that despite securing over six million votes in 2023, the political landscape had shifted. According to him, Obi posed no real threat to Tinubu’s reelection bid.

“The calculations don’t add up. President Tinubu will win, and I can place a confident bet on that,” Wike declared, underscoring his conviction that the ruling party remains positioned for dominance.

By countering El-Rufai’s comments, the Wike Predicts Tinubu 2027 Win debate adds new intensity to Nigeria’s political discourse ahead of the next presidential race.
