Highest paid Nigerian CEOs in 2024 revealed, led by Seplat’s Roger Brown at ₦3.9bn, followed by MTN’s Karl Toriola and Aradel’s Adegbite Falade

At the top is Roger Brown, CEO of Seplat Energy, who earned an annual compensation of ₦3.90bn, making him the country’s highest paid corporate executive.

He is followed by Karl Toriola of MTN Nigeria with ₦3.14bn, and Adegbite Falade of Aradel Holdings with ₦2.44bn. These three alone collectively took home nearly ₦10bn in remuneration.

The ranking also features prominent names from energy and finance.

Wale Tinubu of Oando secured ₦1.80bn, while Arvind Pathak of Dangote Cement received ₦1.58bn. Samba Seye of TotalEnergies Nigeria rounded off the oil and gas cluster with ₦1.06bn.

From the financial sector, Adaora Umeoji, the new GMD/CEO of Zenith Bank, received ₦874m, marking her debut in the elite circle. Meanwhile, Segun Agbaje of GTCO earned ₦471.08m.

Consumer goods and manufacturing also featured, with Wassim Elhusseini of Nestlé (₦831m), Adebayo Alli of Guinness (₦756m), and Folasope Babasola of UACN (₦401.40m) making the list.

Aviation was represented by Olabode Makanjuola of Caverton Offshore, with ₦406.66m.

The figures highlight the vast earnings gap between Nigeria’s top executives and the average worker, reflecting both the lucrative rewards of corporate leadership and the sharp inequalities in Africa’s largest economy.
