In a statement issued in Dutse, Jigawa State, on Saturday, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Shi’isu Adam, announced that motorists must begin the registration process immediately to avoid enforcement penalties.

Online applications are currently open through the police’s official platform, possap.gov.ng.

Applicants are expected to create an account using their National Identification Number (NIN), Bank Verification Number (BVN), or Tax Identification Number (TIN).

After email verification, users must log in to select the Tinted Glass Permit service and upload their vehicle details with relevant documentation.

The tinted glass permit enforcement is being implemented to promote transparency and enhance road safety nationwide, SP Adam explained.

He warned motorists against seeking permits through unauthorised agents, urging them to strictly follow the approved steps online.

Following successful application, vehicle owners will be scheduled for inspection and fingerprint biometric capture at Nigeria Police Intelligence Departments.

In Jigawa State, these services will be provided free of charge at the State Intelligence Depatly,” Adam emphasised.

“Applicants must double-check all information before submitting and making payment to ensure their request is processed swif highlighted that the initiative will help curb the abuse of tinted windows for criminal purposes, ensuring that only duly authorised individuals are granted permits.

Motorists were urged to begin registration well ahead of the enforcement date to allow for smooth processing and verification.
