CDCFIB recruitment warning cautions Nigerians to ignore scam emails and visit only its portal as the 2025 paramilitary shortlisting enters key phase

CDCFIB recruitment warning has been issued to Nigerians as the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board urged applicants to ignore fraudulent messages spreading online amid the ongoing 2025 paramilitary recruitment process.

In a statement posted on its official X handle late Wednesday, the board clarified that it does not communicate with applicants through email or text messages. It stressed that all authentic recruitment information is shared exclusively via its official portal.

The CDCFIB recruitment warning came as thousands of candidates await updates on the next phase of the recruitment exercise for the Nigerian Correctional Service, the Nigeria Immigration Service, the Federal Fire Service, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.

“CDCFIB will not send emails or SMS to applicants. Visit our portal, and once shortlisted, update your profile to print your examination slip. Follow the instructions carefully. Beware of scammers,” the board stated.

The board advised candidates to visit its official recruitment website — [https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng](https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng) — to verify their shortlisting status, update their profiles, and print their examination slips for the forthcoming computer-based test.

In a separate statement, the Secretary to the Board, retired Major-General Abdulmalik Jubril, confirmed that shortlisted applicants can check the portal from **Thursday, 30 October 2025**, to confirm their status, venue, and schedule for the CBT.

He urged applicants to be vigilant and to rely solely on official communications to avoid falling victim to online fraudsters posing as board representatives.

The CDCFIB recruitment warning underscores the board’s commitment to transparency and fairness in the ongoing exercise, which aims to fill vital roles across Nigeria’s paramilitary agencies.
