Tokẹ Makinwa is mad after a troll dragged her into a gender debate on X, sparking a sharp response from the media personality.

Tokẹ Makinwa is mad; and this time, fans think she has every reason to be.

The popular media personality and entrepreneur has found herself unexpectedly dragged into an online gender debate on X (formerly Twitter), and her fiery reaction has since gone viral.

The conversation began after a close friend of a well-known celebrity DJ posted a controversial take on relationships, arguing that contrary to popular belief, men are the cheaper gender.

She claimed she could call ten men at any time and they would abandon whatever they were doing to show up for her.

Her statement instantly stirred mixed reactions, sparking a flood of comments and counterarguments.

One user, identified as @itz_taser, added his opinion, advising men not to let their girlfriends stop them from marrying their true loves, stressing that dating someone doesn’t mean you have to marry them.

Guys, please don’t allow your girlfriend stop you from marrying the love of your life. Simply because you’re dating her doesn’t mean you’re supposed to marry her.

Everything seemed like a routine social media debate until another user, Ori Ade, decided to throw an unsolicited jab at Tokẹ Makinwa.

“Nigeria girls should be wise, toke makinwa said that few years ago, now we don’t even know who give her belle😹 blessing CEO said the same thing, now she’s dieing for person wey get prison case😹 Tiwa savage said the same thing😹 now she’ said she don’t mind being 5th wife 😹,” Ori Ade wrote.

The remark instantly struck a nerve.

Without hesitation, Makinwa fired back directly, quoting the post and responding with three explosive words: “You are MAD.”

Her reaction sent social media buzzing, with many debating whether she overreacted or simply stood up for herself against an unnecessary provocation.

While some users felt she should have ignored the comment, others applauded her for clapping back at yet another round of unsolicited moral policing often targeted at women in the public eye.

Makinwa once said she would have remained married to her estranged husband, Maje Ayida if they had a child together.

She disclosed this during an episode of her podcast, TokeMoments, with guest Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo.

Makinwa got married to fitness entrepreneur, Maje Ayida, in 2014, but got separated from him in 2015 after discovering that he had impregnated his ex-girlfriend.

She later follow up her post:

Jokes aside I am raising a beautiful daughter who would one day have access to the internet, heaven forbid she reads how her mother was constantly bullied but stayed quiet cos she was trying to be the bigger person.
