Nigerian TikTok influencer Baddest Orobo released from prison after fraud conviction linked to ex-boyfriend, denies involvement in the crime

Nigerian TikTok influencer Baddest Orobo has been released from prison following a sentence linked to a fraud case connected to her former boyfriend.

The influencer, who faced charges of conspiracy to commit fraud and was previously labelled a flight risk, denied any personal involvement in the criminal activity.

Baddest Orobo described her past relationship as toxic, asserting that her association with her ex-boyfriend led to her entanglement in the case despite having no role in the crime itself.

She was originally sentenced to two years in prison on 4 December 2024, followed by two years of supervised release, and fined approximately $500,000.

The release has generated a wave of support and relief on social media, with fans praising her resilience throughout the legal proceedings.
